These whole vanilla beans are sourced from the highlands of Kerala's Western Ghats — one of the finest vanilla-growing regions in India. Naturally cured using traditional methods, each bean carries a deep, rich aroma and intense flavour that processed or artificial vanilla simply cannot match.
We offer two grades to suit different needs and budgets. Both are genuine, naturally cured Kerala vanilla beans — the difference is only in pod length and appearance, not in origin or curing method.
Grade B/C Beans — Best Value (Base Price)
Pod length: 4 to 6 inches
Grade B/C beans are shorter in length but carry the same rich vanilla aroma and flavour as Grade A. They are the preferred choice for:
- Homemade vanilla extract — chop and soak in alcohol, length does not matter
- Baking — cakes, cookies, muffins, breads
- Custard, kheer, puddings — split and scrape the seeds
- Vanilla sugar — bury pods in a sugar jar for aromatic vanilla sugar
- Ice cream and desserts — everyday home cooking use

Grade A Beans — Premium Choice (+Rs.151)
Pod length: Above 6 inches
Grade A beans are longer, plumper pods with higher moisture content and a more pronounced aroma. They are the preferred choice for:
- Gifting — visually impressive, full length pods make a premium gift
- Professional baking and cooking — restaurants, home chefs, patisseries
- Food styling and photography — full length pods for visual presentation
- Homemade perfume and skin care — higher vanillin content per pod
- Premium vanilla extract — fewer pods needed for the same strength
Grade A stock is subject to seasonal availability. When available, it is a noticeably superior pod — longer, more aromatic, and visually striking.
About Kerala Highland Vanilla
Vanilla grown in the Western Ghats highlands of Kerala benefits from the region's unique combination of altitude, rainfall, and rich laterite soil. The cool misty climate and traditional small-farm cultivation methods produce vanilla with a distinctly rich and complex aroma — different from mass-produced Madagascar or Indonesian vanilla.
How to Use Vanilla Beans
- Place the bean flat on a cutting board.
- Using a sharp knife, split the bean lengthwise down the centre.
- Use the back of the knife to scrape out the tiny black seeds inside.
- Add both the seeds and the empty pod to your recipe for maximum flavour.
- Remove the pod before serving — or drop it into a sugar jar to make vanilla sugar.
Make Your Own Vanilla Extract
Place 3 to 4 beans in 100ml of vodka or rum. Seal tightly and store in a dark place for 6 to 8 weeks. The result is a pure vanilla extract far superior to anything available in stores — and far more economical in the long run.
Storage Instructions
Important: Do NOT refrigerate vanilla beans. Refrigeration removes moisture and destroys the aroma and flavour completely.
Store in the sealed pack until use. Once opened, transfer to an airtight glass jar and keep in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Properly stored, vanilla beans retain their aroma for 1 to 2 years.
